Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, June 18: Southwest monsoon has finally hit Odisha, officials manning the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre said here on Wednesday.Monsoon has hit most parts of coastal Odisha as well as some interior areas of the State, according to Sarat Chandra Sahu, Director of the Centre.The remaining parts of the State were likely to experience monsoon rains over the next two days, Sahu said.As the arrival of monsoon was delayed by almost a week, people across the State had to bear with extreme heat wave conditions during the annual Raja festival.Most parts of Odisha had experienced extremely high temperature during this summer for several weeks.A sudden spell of pre-monsoon rains in several areas of the State had brought down the temperature on Tuesday.
