navin-pOdisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, June 25: Different employees’ unions on Thursday thanked Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for raising the retirement age limit of all employees of the State Government from 58 years to 60 years.Patnaik was welcomed by the office-bearers of various employees’ unions and treated with flowers when he arrived at the State Secretariat here to work in his office.The office-bearers of the unions that thanked the Chief Minister for the decision include Sachivalaya Karmachari Seva Sangha, Odisha Soochana Seva Sangha, Steno Sangha, PA and Private Secretary Sangha, Auditor Sangha Typist Sangha, Data Entry Operator Sangha, Mukhya Daptar Karmachari Sangha, Sachivalaya Nimna Betanabhogi Karmachari Sangha and others, according to a press release issued by the APRO to Chief Minister in the Chief Minister’s Office.A proposal to raise the retirement age limit of all Odisha Government employees from 58 years to 60 years was given approval by the State Cabinet at a meeting held at the State Secretariat here on Wednesday.Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik presided over the Cabinet meeting.
