Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar: In line with various activities planned to celebrate World Environment Day, Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar organised a drawing competition for the children of all the employees of Airports Authority of India, Bhubaneswar Airport on Tuesday.A large number of children, up to the age of 15 years, participated in the competition, the topics for which were; save the trees, they save us; think earth; raise your voice, not the sea level; and global warming.The children below the age of five were allowed to draw as they like.Many senior officials of the airport were present on the occasion.All the children were given participation certificates and participation prizes and the winners were awarded jointly by the authorities.Bhubaneswar Airport has a signature campaign and sapling distribution drive planned for June 5, where the arriving passengers would be distributed saplings and the departing passengers would be participating in the signature campaign.The theme for this year’s awareness activities, as decided by United National Environment Programme (UNEP) is `Raise your voice, not the sea level’.
