Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar: Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha on Friday decided to undertake re-checking of the answer sheets of thousands of Plus Two students who had complained of faulty evaluation in their Plus Two final examinations.Additional Secretary of Higher Education department Durga Prasad Behera told newsmen that the re-checking and re-addition of the answer sheets of the students who had sought alleged discrepancies in their mark sheets will be carried out by the CHSE from June 9.A total of 300 teachers, who will be divided into 15 groups, will do the work on a war footing and efforts will be made to complete the whole process by June end.The State government was forced to undertake the re-checking and re-addition exercise after thousands of students kept thronging the CHSE headquarters in Bhubaneswar and sought redressal of their grievances.A number of students’ organisations had also staged protest demonstrations blaming the authorities for the lapses on their part.As hundreds of students continued to stand in queue at the CHSE headquarters, CHSE Chairman Basudev Chhatoi had announced on Thursday that the aggrieved students seeking revaluation of their papers can submit their applications in their respective colleges.Over 10000 students had submitted their applications with the CHSE in Bhubaneswar seeking re-checking of their answer sheets and re-addition of marks.The re-checking and re-addition work will be done at the CHSE headquarters in Bhubaneswar.Arrangement will also be made to make copies of answer sheets to the students who will seek the same.
