Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar: National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Bhubaneswar, the premier Institution for fashion education in the country launched some exclusive high-end short-term programmes targeted towards the youth.These programmes are Textile Design for Fashion (TDF), Fashion & clothing technology (FCT), Indian Fashion Apparel & Boutique Management (IFABM), Fashion Retail Management (FRM), and Garment Export Merchandising Management (GEMM).Two summer programmes of one-week duration (June-2014) in fashion sketching & Styling & CAD for Textile Printing have also been introduced.The youth from Odisha can now enroll in these high-end fashion education programmes at their doorstep at a most affordable price, thanks to the new NIFT campus at Bhubaneswar near KIIT.Most prominent feature of all these new programmes is the job opportunity they offer in highly evolving textile and garment sector catering to the fashion industry.Industry exposure is mandatory for all students enrolled in these short-term programmes also.Another notable feature of these programmes is to impart the knowledge, skills and empower the women including housewives to start their own business even from home with little investment.NIFT has been able to fill up the long felt gap in absence of any quality short-term job/entrepreneur oriented professional fashion education programme that appeal to the youth and more specifically to women of the State.With high quality faculty and laboratories equipped with latest machineries and equipment from all parts of the world and industry linkages, students joining these programmes can expect an enriched educational experience with bright career prospects.Hostel facility is available for girls only on first come first serve basis.Last date for receipt of application is 30-06-2014.For further please check the website: www.nift.ac.in/bhubaneswar
