Odisha Channel Bureau Koraput, Feb 17: At least six persons were killed and 10 injured in a tragic road accident in neighbouring Rayagada district this afternoon.The accident occurred near Kotapeta village at around 1 pm when a speeding truck collided head on with an auto-rickshaw in which the victims were travelling.As many as 11 persons were travelling in the ill-fated auto-rickshaw when the cotton-laden truck going from Rayagada town collided with it, according to Rayagada police.The victims were on their way from Gadi Sheskhal village of Kolanara block to Kotapeta village to attend a marriage ceremony.While six persons including two children died on the spot, the injured persons were rushed to the district headquarters hospital at Rayagada.Later, four persons with serious injuries were shifted to Visakhapatnam for treatment.
