Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, July 4: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Nuapada legislator Basanta Kumar Panda was unanimously elected as the Leader of the BJP Legislature Party here on Friday.The decision taken at the meeting of the party’s legislators was announced by Union Minister and party’s Central observer Prakash Javadekar at a press conference at the BJP State headquarters here.Rourkela legislator Dilip Ray was, however, not present in the meeting.The remaining nine legislators, including Panda, attended the meeting.Among others who were present include BJP State president and legislator from Patnagarh K.V.Singh Deo and Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, JP’s Odisha –in-charge Arun Singh.Addressing media persons, Panda said that as Leader of the BJP Legislature Party he and other legislators of his party will take up various issues concerning the people in the State Assembly.
