Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, Aug 23: Gang rape and murder of two minor girls have been reported from Jagatsinghpur and Ganjam districts of Odisha bringing the issue of crime against women to the fore yet again.While the body of a 17-year-old girl was found near Balisahi village under Bhanjanagar area of Ganjam district on Friday, a seven-year-old girl was found dead in in Tirtol area of Jagatsinghpur on Friday.While no arrest has been made in the Ganjam case till Saturday, police have arrested one person in connection with the shocking gang rape and murder of the seven-year-old on Friday.Both the incidents occurred on Thursday.The incidents have lead to tension in the respective areas with people demanding stringent action against the culprits.
