Odisha Channel Bureau Nabarangpur, Oct 4: At least 11 persons were killed and 30 injured in a tragic road mishap near Phataki village in Chandahandi ghat are of Odisha’s Nabarangpur district on Friday night.The mishap took place around 9 pm when a truck carrying about 60 members of an opera troupe was on its way from Dabugaon to Chandahandi.The truck skidded off the road and hit a roadside tree when as driver lost control of the vehicle, killing 11 passengers on the spot.While nine bodies were retrieved from the spot soon after the accident, two bodies were taken out early on Saturday morning.About 30 injured had been admitted to the government hospital at Jharigaon in Nabarangpur district, while four persons with serious injuries have been to the district headquarters hospital in neighbouring Koraput district.
