Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s COVID-19 tally breached 2.5-lakh mark with 2,546 more confirmed cases detected in the State in last 24 hours.
The total of positive cases detected so far now stands at 2,52,239, according to the State Health & Family Welfare Department.
The death toll due to COVID-19 has increased 1,022 with 16 more patients succumbing to the pandemic during the last 24 hours ending at Saturday midnight.
Besides, as many as 53 persons who had tested positive have also died due to reasons other than COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at different hospitals in the State.
Of the total positive cases, 2,24,273 patients have recovered in the State so far and as many as 26,891 persons are under treatment.
The State has so far conducted a total of 37,55, 671 tests to detect COVID-19 cases.
