crash-artOdisha Channel Bureau Puri, July 18: Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik on Friday created a sand sculpture on Puri beach in Odisha on Malaysian airlines flight MH17 which was shot down at Ukraine, with a message `Shame to Humanity’.Pattnaik has created the sand sculpture of Malaysian airlines and a missile.He used about 6 tonnes of sand to complete this sculpture.“I am shocked, the innocent passengers have been victimised in this crash.I condemn this.My condolences to the family and relatives those who lost their lives in this tragedy,” Pattnaik said.All 295 people on board the Malaysia Airlines plane were killed on Thursday after the aircraft was shot down over war-torn eastern Ukraine near the Russian border, nearly four months after the mysterious disappearance of MH370 in the Indian Ocean with 239 on board.The Malaysia Airlines was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur carrying 280 passengers and 15 crew members.Padma Shri award winner Pattnaik has participated in more than 50 international sand sculpture championships and festivals around the world and won many prizes for India.
