Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, April 17: Odisha is all set to have yet another 24×7 television news channel in Odia language from tomorrow (Saturday).
The latest news channel, Kalinga TV, owned by Kalinga Media Entertainment Private Limited, is scheduled to be launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday evening.`Kahe Thik… Dekhaye Thik…’ (Speaks right… Shows right…) will be the catchline of Kalinga TV which the people can watch from Saturday.
Bhubaneswar-based Kalinga Media & Entertainment Private Limited currently has four Active Directors/Partners: Satyendra Patnaik, Umapada Bose, Himansu Sekhar Khatua, Dwiti Chandragupta Vikramaditya. It is classified as Indian Non-Government Company and is registered at Registrar of Companies, Cuttack.
The State has already got several other 24×7 television news channels including OTV, Kanak TV, Focus Odisha, Zee Kalinga, Prameya News7, Naxatra News, apart from about 10 other channels relating to entertainment and infotainment.
Besides, Odisha is all set to get one more 24×7 television news channel in Odia. The next news channel, ETV Odia News, is scheduled to be launched in the near future.
