Visakhapatnam: Excessive use of chlorine and bleach might have caused the mysterious illnesses in Eluru town of Andhra Pradesh giving sleepless nights to the officials.
Even as the spread of illness was brought under control, the government continued consultation with experts to find out exact reason for outbreak of infection with epilepsy type symptoms among patients.
Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday conducted a video conferencing on the illness in Eluru and directed officials to find out the causative factors.
Doctors and experts from World Health Organisation, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, National Institute of Nutrition, Indiana Institute of Chemical Technology and Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology took part in the meeting.
