Bhubaneswar: The cold wave conditions eased in Odisha on Sunday with only two places a minimum temperature of below 10 degrees Celsius.
While Phulbani recorded minimum temperature of 7.5 degrees Celsius, Sundargarh experienced a minimum temperature of 9.0 degrees Celsius.
The remaining 22 places where the Meteorological Department records temperatures in the State recorded minimum temperature between 10.1 (Hirakud) and 17.1 (Paradip).
The maximum temperature at the 24 places varied between 24.8 degrees (Baripada) and 32.0 (Malkangiri).
Capital city of Bhubaneswar recorded minimum temperature of 12.9 degrees Celsius and maximum temperature of 28.0 degrees Celsius.
Daringibadi in Kandhamal district, which experienced minimum temperature of 3.0 degrees Celsius on January 7, recorded 11.0 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
Phulbani had recorded minimum temperature of 5 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 8.0 degrees Celsius was recorded at Daringibadi on Saturday, indicating that the cold wave that persisted during the past few weeks had started easing.
Meanwhile, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre predicted that weather will remain dry over Odisha with no significant change till January 21.
Shallow to moderate fog was likely to occur at a few places over coastal Odisha in the next few days.
