Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, Mar 21: A Block Development Officer (BDO) in Kandhamal district of Odisha, who had landed in trouble after a woman accused him of ditching her after developing an affair, married the woman in question on Saturday.Sanat Kumar Nayak, an Odisha Administrative Service officer posted as BDO at Chakapada, married the woman at the Sub-Registrar office situated at the Kandhamal district headquarters town of Phulbani.The woman is also a State government employee posted in Mayurbhanj district where the officer was posted in the past.The two had had become friends on Facebook and a love affair had developed between them a few years ago.“After keeping physical relationship with me for past three years, the OAS officer dumped me.He now refuses to marry me,” the woman had told journalists at Phulbani on Thursday.After taking up her grievance before the Superintendents of Police in Bolangir (home district of Nayak) and Kandhamal district, the woman had also taken up the matter before the State Women’s Commission.The woman had claimed they had already married in a temple in Bhubaneswar earlier and showed photographs in support of her claim.She had approached the authorities after she came to know earlier this month that the officer was about to marry someone else.
