Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, June 24: Odisha government will give employment to 40,000 youths in various Departments within a period of six months, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said on Tuesday.Patnaik issued the direction after discussing about vacancies in different government at a high level meeting at the State Secretariat.The process of should be completed within a period of six months, he ordered.According to an official release, the rules with regard to giving employment had been amended and an Empowered Committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department had been set up to ensure the necessary approvals from the Department of Finance.The different government departments having vacancies should consult the Empowered Committee for filling up the vacant posts.The new recruitment will include for post of doctors, engineers, paramedical staff, police officer and personnel, and various vacancies in departments such as Agriculture, Revenue and Disaster Management, Women and Child Development, Section Officers in the State Secretariat, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development, and Cooperation.
