Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with FICCI as its national partner for the third Make in Odisha Conclave 2020.
The MoU will boost the invest promotion activities for the next edition of Make in Odisha Conclave which is scheduled to be held from November 30 to December 4 this year at Bhubaneswar.
The MoU was signed between IPICOL & FICCI for organising third edition of flagship investment promotion event ‘Make in Odisha’ Conclave and its investor outreach activities.
The MoU was signed by Nitin B. Jawale on behalf of IPICOL Arun Chawla, Deputy Director General FICCI. FICCI will facilitate investor outreach and investment promotion during MIO2020, according to officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik highlighted positive policy framework, robust infrastructure, skilled human resources & result oriented administrative set up will help in realising vision of making Odisha an investment destination of choice, both nationally and globally.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that the State will take the next leap in terms of industrial growth and development.
He said that the 5T initiatives have brought changes in governance and made significant contribution to State’s overall industrial ecosystem.
Patnaik underscored recent increase in investment flow into the State, highlighting that Odisha attracted new investments worth over Rs. 24,300 crore since February 2020 despite COVID-19.
He reaffirmed his commitment of making Odisha an attractive global investment destination.
The last two MIO2020 were held in 2016 and 2018.
