Bhubaneswar: Eco Retreat Odisha 2021, the annual luxurious glamping festival of Odisha Tourism, was inaugurated by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on December 15.
The Eco Retreat festival is being held simultaneously at seven different locations in the state this year in complete compliance of COVID-19 safety norms. The event will continue till February 28.
Welcoming the tourists on the occasion, Patnaik described Eco Retreat Odisha 2021 as the foremost luxury camping festival of Eastern India.
“Riding on the popularity of our eco retreats model with enthusiastic response received by each of the previous editions across five diverse locales, this year we have added two more locations – one in Koraput and another in Ganjam,” informed Patnaik.
“Eco Retreats Odisha 2021 will go a long way in encouraging tourists from across India to explore these beautiful destinations set deep in the hinterlands of Odisha,” said Patnaik while inaugurating the event virtually.
“The facilities and services at the eco retreats are in complete compliance of COVID safety norms. It is an ideal gateway to enjoy the much needed leisure to conclude the eventful year and to celebrate in anticipation of a safer and happier future for all of us.”

The seven eco-sensitive locations where the event is being held this time are Konark, Satkosia, Bhitarkanika, Daringbadi, Hirakud, Pati Sonapur and Putsil-Deomali Base in Koraput
While it is the third edition of the Eco Retreat at Konark, the Eco Retreats were added at four other places such as Bhitarkanika, Daringbadi, Hirakud and Satkosia in 2020. Pati Sonapur and Putsil have been added this year. The first edition of the glamorous camping festival was held as Marine Drive Eco Retreat in 2019.
