Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, April 18: Bhubaneswar Round Table 53 (BRT 53), a group of young men engaged in charitable activities, in collaboration with Serajuddin & Co & Indigo Airlines sponsored a flight a fantasy, a trip to Visakhapatnam today for 40 children of RAWA Academy.RAWA Academy is an orphanage based on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar at Mendhasala.The 40 children, who have taken the flight to Visakhapatnam today will undertake a city tour there and fly back to Bhubaneswar tomorrow (April 19) morning.
These children, being flown by Indigo Airlines to Vizag, where Vizag Round Table 77 our local partner & a table like us, have planned a tour of the local amusement park, kids zone & a 3D movie show in a shopping mall, meal at Mc Donald’s with an overnight stay.The idea is to give these underprivileged children, the experience of their lives, which not only gives them happiness & joy but more importantly an event which can act as a catalyst of hope for their future, to ingrain the idea of IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING in their young minds.“Flight of Fantasy” is one of BRT 53′s flagship charitable events.It comprises of taking 40 to 50 children from impoverished background for a one day event.In previous years they have taken children to Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, New Delhi and Kolkata with support from the tables of the touring cities.It may be noted here that Round Table India has built 1500 schools benefiting lakhs of children across India under its long term project “Freedom through Education” in last decade.BRT 53, part of Round Table India has been actively associated with a number of noble causes (Bhima Bhoi Blind School / RAWA Academy / Flood Relief Operations / Slum School, etc.) and have completed two School buildings in Bhubaneswar and Nayagarh.
