Bhubaneswar: As preparation for the upcoming Make in Odisha Conclave to be held in Bhubaneswar from November 11 to 15 is in full swing, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik addressed a gathering of investors in Mumbai on Wednesday and invited them to come and experience the opportunities the State offers.
Announcing that the second edition of Make in Odisha Conclave will showcase the manufacturing prowess of the State and investment potential in diverse sectors, Patnaik assured the investors of unmatched facilitation support from his government.
He said that the theme of the Make in Odisha Conclave 2018 is “I am Odisha”, which celebrates all the successes of Odisha and her people in creating a vibrant ecosystem for business in the State.
“I am Odisha” will be a unique platform for the people to share their stories and showcase the “Odisha of today” and present their vision for the “Odisha of future”, said Patnaik in his address.
“I look forward to see you all in Bhubaneswar at the Make in Odisha Conclave 2018. Come, Join the Juggernaut,” Patnaik told the gathering of investors at #MakeInOdisha roadshow in Mumbai, a precursor to upcoming #MIO2018 Conclave in Bhubaneswar.
He informed that the strength of Odisha lies in its vast resource base, long coastline, assured power and water supply, port-driven development, excellent road network and connectivity, a young and skilled workforce and an industry-friendly and result-oriented responsive government.
The Chief Minister informed that the first edition of the Make in Odisha Conclave in 2016 evoked enthusiastic response with announcement of above rupees 2 lakh crore investment intent.
“My government has demonstrated its commitment to deliver projects on ground. About 65% of projects are at various stages of approval and implementation,” he said.
Patnaik also launched the official web portal for MIO Conclave 2018 featuring Odisha’s robust business ecosystem, investment opportunities across focus sectors and swift facilitation structure. http://www.mio.investodisha.gov.in
