Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, Aug 4: In view of continuing rain since two days due to low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, rain water was flowing between Saragipali and Handapa stations in Angul-Sambalpur rail section and mud fallen between Keutguda and Sikarpai stations in Rayagada-Koraput section resulting in partial disruption of train services during morning hours on Monday.In view of cases mud, boulder and tree falling on railway tracks in hilly areas, East Coast Railway has decided to cancel & short-terminate some trains as per the following in the interest of safety of train operations.CANCELLATION58301/58302 Sambalpur-Koraput-Sambalpur passenger will be cancelled on 5th August 2014 from both the directions.18107 Rourkela-Koraput Express leaving Rourkela & 18512 Visakhapatnam-Koraput Express leaving Visakhapatnam today have been cancelled.Similarly, 18511 Koraput-Visakhapatnam Express scheduled to leave Koraput on 5th August will be cancelled.SHORT-TERMINATION18477 Bhubaneswar-Jagadalpur Express leaving Bhubaneswar on 4th August will run up to Rayagada and return back from Rayagada to Bhubaneswar on 5th August 2014 and will remain cancelled between Rayagada & Jagadalpur from both the directions on 5th August 2014.58501 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul passenger leaving Visakhapatnam on 4th August will run up to Koraput and will return back from Koraput to Visakhapatnam.This train will remain cancelled between Koraput & Kirandul from both the directions.18005 Howrah-Jagadalpur Samaleswari Express scheduled to leave Howrah on 4th August 2014 will run up to Titilagarh and will return back from Titilagarh to Howrah on 5th August 2014.This train will remain cancelled between Titilagarh & Jagadalpur from both the directions.18448 Jagadalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express scheduled to leave Jagadalpur on 4th August will originate from Koraput instead of Jagadalpur on 4th August 2014.Special Railway Inspection and Safety Teams have been deployed at all sensitive locations to keep a sharp look-out for any abnormality, according to an East Coast Railway press release issued in Bhubaneswar on Monday evening.
