Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, Jan 1: V.Balasubramanyam, Executive Director (Production), NALCO, Bhubaneswar has taken over as the new Director (Production) of National Aluminium Company Limited, a Navratna PSU of Govt.of India from today on superannuation of S.S.Mahapatra on December 31 last.After completing his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from ANNA UNIVERSITY, Chennai in 1984, Balasubramanyam started his career with National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) in December 1984 as Graduate Engineer Trainee.During his long service association of three decades with NALCO, Balasubramanyam has contributed significantly from Technology adoption to absorption in the field of Aluminium Technology.With his vast professional experience, which nested from project execution to plant operation at both the production complexes of NALCO, Balasubramanyam held very critical and crucial positions in the organization before taking over as Director (Production).Balasubramanyam is a life Member of Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Management Committee Member of Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI) and also Member of Energy Panel in Odisha chapter of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII).With Balasubramanyam joining as Director (Production), NALCO’s Board of Directors has been further strengthened.
