Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday left for New Delhi on a week- long visit to meet new Prime Minister Narendra Modi and some of the newly- appointed Central Ministers.This is Patnaik’s first visit to New Delhi after Mr.Modi took charge as Prime Minister on May 26.For Patnaik, it was the first visit to New Delhi after he took over as Chief Minister of the State for the fourth consecutive term.Patnaik told newsmen before leaving Bhubaneswar that he had sought an appointment with the Prime Minister and some of the new Ministers to discuss with them various developmental activities of Odisha.Patnaik had stayed away from the swearing-in ceremony of Modi due to the election of the Speaker of the State Assembly.Instead, he had deputed Finance Minister Pradeep Kumar Amat to attend the ceremony.
