Odisha Channel Bureau CUTTACK: Girls outshined boys in the annual High School Certificate examination as the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha announced the results here on Wednesday.The number of girl students who cleared the examination stood at 2,46,240, while 2,43,482 boys passed the HSC Board examination.School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra said 85.20% regular students passed the Class 10 examination in the state, with Baleswar district having the highest pass percentage of 92.90%.A total of 5,86,503 students had appeared in the examination, While 4,89,722 of them cleared it, 2,46,240 were girls and 2,43,482 were boys, said Mishra while announcing the results.All students in 715 schools passed the examination while no student was successful in as many as 21 schools, Mishra informed.At least 1733 students achieved the highest A1 grade (90-100% mark), while 18,863 students got A2 grade (80-90% mark), 53,070 B1 grade (70-80% mark), 92,722 B2 grade (60-70%mark), 1,19,924 C grade (40-50% mark) and 1,28,768 D grade (35-40% mark).A total of 1572 students were booked for malpractice during the examination.The examination was held at 2882 centres from February 22 to March 4, and evaluation of answer sheets was done by over 16,000 teachers.The Board authorities had earlier said that they would not publish result booklets from this year, but the students can access their results and mark sheets from the Board’s websites www.bseodisha.nic.in.The results can also be accessed in the website orissaresults.nic.in and indiaresults.com.The students can also know their results through SMS to ORI10 space Roll Number and send it to number 58888.The students not happy with their marks can apply for re-addition by applying online from May 2 to May 11 on the website www.indiaresults.com.
