Odisha Channel Bureau Puri, July 22: Odisha’s renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sand sculpture on the sexual assault of a six-year-old Odia schoolgirl in Bangalore on the Puri beach on Tuesday.The sculpture carried a message `Shame to Humanity’.Terming in the incident shameful, Pattnaik condemned sexual assault of the girl and urged the government to take strong action against the culprits.He used about two tonnes of sand and also some coloured sand to complete this sculpture.Padma Shri award winner Pattnaik has participated in more than 50 international sand sculpture championships and festivals around the world and won many prizes for the country.The issue was also raised by legislators from different parties in the Odisha Assembly on Monday.The legislators had demanded against the school staff involved in the incident.
