Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, July 21: The alleged sexual assault of a six-year-old Class-I girl student from Odisha in a school in Bangalore city rocked the Odisha Assembly here on Monday.Members crossing party lines expressed their concern over the incident that had led to public protests in Bangalore and demanded that Odisha Government must intervene in the matter.Congress legislators Naba Das and Prafulla Majhi raised the issue in the House during the zero hour and wanted to know about the State government’s response to the incident.The government should take necessary measures and the House should be informed about it, they said.Parliamentary Affairs Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha informed the House that the State Government was in touch with the Karnataka Government.Stating that the State Government had taken up the matter seriously, Arukha said that the Home Department of the State Government was in touch with their counterparts in Karnataka to see that action was against the accused persons.
