Odisha Channel Bureau Paradip, Feb 12: The headmaster of a government-run upper primary school in Paradip port town in Odisha has been arrested on charge of sexually abusing two 5th standard girl students of the school.Authorities of the School and Mass Education Department of Jagatsinghpur district deeply disturbed over the unsavoury incident have sacked the errant headmaster.The 45-year-old accused Kamal Lochan Biswal authored the crime right inside the school premises on Sunday last.The victims who were in a state of shock had brought their traumatized ordeal to parents’ notice on Tuesday.The shell-shocked victims’ parents accompanied by angry locals lodged separate complaints on Tuesday with the local police.Biswal sexually abused both the girl students after he had asked them to turn up at the school on Sunday for extra classes.Investigation found veracity in the charges levelled by the complaint, according to the police.Both the victims and the accused headmaster were medically examined.Later the headmaster Biswal was arrested under Section 342 (wrong confinement), 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and Section-10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, said the police officer.The accused headmaster was produced in the court of district and session judge at Jagatsinghpur on Wednesday.The court rejected his bail application and remanded him in jail custody.In a separate incident, a woman cook of a government-run primary school in Narasinghapur village under Erasama police station jurisdiction of Jagatsinghpur district was allegedly molested by the chairman of the school managing committee.A case under Indian Penal Code Sections 354 (outraging the modesty), 341(wrongful restraint) and 294 (obscene acts and songs in public place) has been arrested, police said adding that the accused has evaded arrest.A separate inquiry has been ordered into the alleged incident, said School and Mass Education Department officials.
