Narasingha_MishraOdisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar: Senior Congress leader Narasingha Mishra was on Wednesday elected Leader of the Congress Legislature Party in Odisha.He will play the role of Leader of Opposition as the Congress was the major opposition party in the State Assembly.Mishra was unanimously elected Leader of the Congress Legislature Party at a meeting of the party legislators held at the State Assembly premises.Congress has 16 newly legislators in the State Assembly.The meeting was held in the presence of party’s Central observer and senior leader Ajay Maken.AICC general secretary in charge of Odisha B.K.Hariprasad and Pradesh Congress Committee president Jayadev Jena were also present.Mishra was elected Leader of the Congress Legislature Party a day before the beginning of the commencement of the budget session of the State Assembly.Mishra had worked as the Deputy Leader of the Congress Legislature Party in the State Assembly from 2004-2009.He was first elected to the Assembly in 1990 and served as the Law Minister in the Biju Patnaik Government.
