Odisha Channel Bureau Koraput, July 27: A villager was killed by Maoists at Dasini village in under Bandhugaon Block of Odisha’s Koraput district on Saturday night.The Maoists, who called Kadraka Kamana and took him to the road near his house, killed him by slitting his throat.The extremists apparently killed suspecting him to be a police informer, according to the locals.A letter written by Communist Party of India (Maoist) signed by Daya, the party leader of the area, was found lying near the body of Kamana.Bandhugaon is adjacent to Narayanpatna Block of the district where Maoists have been active since long.In the letter, the Maoists opposed recent surrender of their cadres.Nearly 50 suspected Maoists have surrendered before the Koraput police this year so far.
