Krishna Babu assumes charge as Chairman, PPT

Odisha Channel Bureau Paradip, Jan 16: Movva Tirumala Krishna Babu, an IAS Officer of 1993 batch belonging to the State of Andhra Pradesh, assumed the additional charge of Chairman of Paradip Port Trust today.Presently he is serving as Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Trust.Krishna Babu is a 1993 batch IAS Officer of Andhra Pradesh Cadre besides an Engineering Graduate.Prior to joining as Chairman, Visakhapatnam Port Trust and subsequently Chairman, Paradip Port Trust, Krishna Babu served as Sub-collector, Naraspur of West Godabari District, Municipal Commissioner, Guntur, District Collector Prakasam District, Managing Director of Markfed and District Collector Kadapa, Chairman & Managing Director of Central Power Distribution Company of AP Limited, Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and Secretary, Infrastructure and Investment Department.After assuming the office of the Chairman, Paradip Port Trust, Krishna Babu held a meeting with the Heads of the Departments and other senior officers and visited port facilities.During the interaction session, he expressed his happiness to join as Chairman, Paradip Port Trust and praised on the present performance of the Paradip Port Trust in cargo handling.Expressing his happiness over performance of the Port during the interactive meeting, Krishna Babu urged all officers and employees of the port to continue their best effort for the development of the port.
