Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, July 29: Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated in different parts of Odisha on Tuesday as the Muslims marked the end of the holy month of Ramadan.Thousands of Muslims thronged the mosques in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jajpur and places in the morning hours and offered prayers.The people prayed for peace and progress in their personal lives as well as the State and the country.They also hugged one another wishing everyone Eid Mubarak.At many places, the people braved the rains and reached the mosque to attend the prayers.The authorities had made adequate security arrangements to ensure smooth flow of traffic near the mosques located in the urban areas and prevent any untoward incident.After the prayers, the Muslims people visited friends and relatives and feasted on a variety of delicacies.At many places, local politicians belonging to different parties visited the Muslim-dominated localities to greet people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.The celebrations were to continue till night when people invite their friends and relatives over for dinner.
