srabani-nandaOdisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar: A day after Dutee Chand qualified for the Rio Olympics for Rio Olympics, 24-year-old Odisha athlete Srabani Nanda qualified for the Olympics on Sunday making Odisha and its people proud.Srabani, who hails from Kandhamal district, clocked 23.02 seconds in women’s 200-meter event here at XXVI International meet G.Kosanov Memorial, Almaty, Kazakhstan.The qualifying mark for Olympics in women’s 200m is 23.20secs.Srabani became the 103rd member to join the Indian contingent for Rio 2016.Dutee Chand had qualified for the Olympics after registering 11.30 seconds in women’s 100m qualification meet on Saturday.Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated Srabani for qualifying for Rio 2016.
