Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, Sep 7: Four members of a family were killed by unidentified assailants at Chandpur in Ranpur area of Odisha’s Nayagarh district on Saturday night.According to reports, the victims included Kasinath Patra (70), his daughter-in-law Suchitra and two grandchildren.Kashinath’s son Suvendu Patra found the bodies when he returned home from Bhubaneswar at around 9 pm.Although nothing was known about the reason behind the murders, since the family had no enmity with anyone it is being suspected that loot was the motive behind the crime.Ranpur police are investigating into the case and bodies have been sent for post mortem.
