Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar: The winter session of the Odisha Assembly was adjourned sine die today.Odisha-AssemblySpeaker Niranjan Pujari adjourned the House sine die 10 days before the scheduled date after a motion in this regard was moved by Government Chief Whip Ananta Das.The opposition MLAs were absent in the House when the Assembly was adjourned sine die.The MLAs of opposition Congress and BJP had abstained from the House for the second day demanding that the Speaker should reconsider his decision about suspension of senior Congress MLA Naba Kishore Das from the House for seven days.Das was suspended without being given an opportunity to clarify his stand relating to the allegation that he watched an objectionable video in the House on Monday.The ruling BJD was keen to end the session early to engage the legislators in preparations for the statewide celebration of the party’s foundation day on December 26.
