naveen-patnaikOdisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, Dec 26: Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal president Naveen Patnaik today said reiterated his anti-Centre mantra saying that Odisha still continues to be a victim of Central apathy.Addressing a gathering of BJD leaders and workers on the occasion of the party’s foundation day, Patnaik targeted the Narendra Modi Government claiming that there is discrimination in Central allocations to States.“Central aid is the right of the State under the federal structure.There should be no political consideration while allocating funds to the states,” Patnaik observed.He blamed the Congress and BJP for attempting to defame his government.They are indulging in such activities after facing repeated defeats in elections, the BJD president said.The BJD would continue to serve the people of Odisha, Patnaik said, while urging the party leaders to strengthen the party organisations across the State.The district units of the ruling party also organised public meetings at all district headquarters towns in the State to mark the occasion.The party had issued full-page advertisements in all leadings dailies in the State today highlighting the achievements of its government since it assumed power in 2000.Though Patnaik has been the Chief Minister since 2000, the party said in its advertisement that it was still committed to build Odisha of Biju Patnaik’s dream.
