Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, June 25: In a major decision, the Naveen Patnaik Government on Wednesday raised the retirement age limit of all its employees from 58 years to 60 years.A proposal in this regard was given the approval by the State Cabinet which met at the State Secretariat here.Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik presided over the meeting.Chief Secretary Jugal Kishore Patnaik informed journalists about the Cabinet’s decision after the meeting.The decision was likely to benefit about five lakh employees of Odisha Government.The State Government had on Monday raised the retirement age limit for doctors working in government hospitals from 60 years to 62 years.Health and Family Welfare minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak had made the announcement in the State Assembly.
