Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has appointed technology leader Sam Pitroda as its Technical Advisor for development of IT sector in the State.Pitroda will have a key role in preparation of Vision 2036 for Odisha@100, according to a communication issued by the Office of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.Pitroda will work in the rank of a Cabinet Minister.As the State government is making a vision document for 2036 to celebrate the hundredth year of the State’s formation, the role of IT will be a key factor, the government said in the press release.Pitroda will help provide the essential technological blueprint to write the IT story of Odisha.Pitroda was born in Titilagarh in Odisha in 1942 and is regarded as the founder of India’s telecom and technology revolution.
