Odisha Channel Bureau Bhubaneswar, Sep 22: A senior doctor working in the district headquarters hospital of Subarnapur district in Odisha was murdered by a group of unidentified assailants on Sunday night.Victim Durbadala Mishra, who was working as the Additional District Medical Officer (ADMO) at the hospital in Sonepur town, was killed in his clinic outside his residence around 10 pm.According to the police, the assailants first opened fire at Mishra and then slit his throat before fleeing the spot.The incident had sent shock waves in Sonepur town.The motive behind the murder was not known immediately.A case of murder has been registered and search is on for the killers.There was no trace of the accused person till Monday morning, police said.
